EEW Art - Artist 2020/21 - Photographer Friederike von Rauch

As the first artist participating in the “EEW Art” series, Friederike von Rauch explored our company’s activities during 2020/21. The Berlin-based photographer explored the TRV Buschhaus plant near Helmstedt, fascinated by the scale and monumental nature of the waste and ash bunkers. She created eight works in this series, which were exhibited at our company offices in Helmstedt and Berlin.

Finding the essence of spaces

Whether in museums, palaces, monasteries or industrial buildings, photographer Friederike von Rauch explores the essence of spaces. Her tranquil, often minimalist photographs reveal unusual glimpses of exceptional places. Light, fog, smoke and water give the observer an obstructed view of the architecture and atmosphere of the moment. Industrial architecture is transformed into a contemplative space of light and shadow. The resulting images show timeless rooms that evoke sublime theatrically illuminated stages.

Our EEW Art Booklet features a selection of the works created and shares insights into how they came to life.
