In 2008 the Kraftwerk Schwedt GmbH & Co. KG (KSC) started to construct a refuse-derived fuel power plant in Schwedt, located in the State of Brandburg next to the Polish border. KSC is a joint venture between EEW Energy from Waste GmbH and LEIPA Georg Leinefelder GmbH, a paper manufactuer. KSC is also operator of the plant.
In view of the current situation with regard to the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2), until further notice there will be no tours for visitor groups at the EEW locations in Germany, Luxembourg and The Netherlands. This is purely a precautionary measure in the interests of our employees and visitors.
