Together with his team, Philipp Andree will strengthen EEW's strategic positioning in key energy, climate and circular economy debates at national and European level. In doing so, he will expand and systematically develop dialogue with political decision-makers, associations and stakeholders. One focus will be on topics such as CO₂ reduction, carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) and carbon capture and storage (CCS), as well as a clear political classification of the role of thermal waste utilisation in a circular economy. At the same time, he will systematically expand political dialogue and stakeholder engagement with decision-makers, associations, institutions and partners, and develop long-term, strategic partnerships.
Philipp Andree brings with him many years of experience at the interface between politics and business. Before joining EEW, he worked for several years in association work, including at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and as managing director of the German Association of Climate Protection Companies (Bundesverband Klimaschutz-Unternehmen e. V.). There, he was responsible for projects and political initiatives in the areas of energy, climate and circular economy and supported companies on their way to a sustainable and competitive future.
‘Whether it's emissions trading, raw material and energy security or the Circular Economy Act – the coming years will be politically crucial for EEW,’ says Philipp Andree. ‘I am delighted to be strengthening our role as a reliable partner in the circular economy vis-à-vis politicians.’
‘I am very pleased that we have gained a leader in Philipp who combines professional competence with natural charisma and modern leadership,’ says Svea Schröder, Head of Communications, Sustainability and Politics at the EEW Group. ‘Philipp knows how to place complex issues in the political arena, connect relevant stakeholders and build constructive partnerships. His way of getting people on board and developing solutions together fits perfectly with our team and the path we are taking as a company. I am convinced that he will provide important impetus – and that together we can achieve a great deal.’
