The donations come from voluntary cent contributions by employees: each month, employees donate the amount after the decimal point of their salary—between one and a maximum of 99 cents—to the Restcent fund. Company management doubles this amount. Project proposals come directly from the workforce and are submitted to the Group Works Council via the local works councils. Based on these proposals, social organizations are selected four times a year to receive support through the Restcent Initiative.
“The Restcent Initiative shows how strongly our workforce lives up to its social responsibility. Many small contributions can create a big impact—and as a company, we are very pleased to support this commitment,” says Timo Poppe, CEO of the EEW Group.
“The Restcent donations are an expression of lived solidarity. They show how important it is to our colleagues to look beyond their own immediate environment,” adds Martin Bentz, Chairman of the Group Works Council of the EEW Group.

About the Restcent Initiative
Each year, several hundred EEW employees participate in the Restcent Initiative, demonstrating that even the smallest contributions can have a significant social impact. Through the doubling of the collected amount by company management and the selection of suitable projects by the works councils, regional social organizations at EEW locations in particular benefit from this initiative.
