As a member of the CO₂ working group of the Dutch Association for Waste Management (VA), EEW Delfzijl actively participates in discussions about CO₂ in the waste sector four times a year. On 24 November 2023 and 24 May 2024, EEW participated in this working group and discussed, among other things, CCU (Carbon Capture Utility), CCUS (Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage), ETS (Emissions Trading System), SDE++ (Stimulating Sustainable Energy and Climate Change) and the CO₂ levy.
By participating in this initiative, EEW is also making a valuable contribution to greater sustainability in the industry. By sharing knowledge and experience, EEW gains more insight into the above-mentioned topics and accelerates the development and application of innovative solutions. The aim of participating in this initiative is to keep abreast of developments in the industry and to implement this knowledge in the form of concrete measures in our own organisation.
