Thermal waste treatment in Eschbach (Breisgau)
Welcome to EEW and our Eschbach (Breisgau) site. Since 2005, we have been treating up to 175,000 tonnes of waste per year at our thermal residual waste treatment and energy generation plant (TREA). The energy released during thermal treatment is used to generate electricity.
Residual waste from the region
At the site, we treat residual waste from the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Emmendingen and Ortenau, as well as from the city of Freiburg, among other areas. Some of the residual waste is transported to our Eschbach site by rail.

Nimmt unser Standort Lieferungen von Privatpersonen an?
- Ja, wir nehmen auch Mengen von Privatpersonen an.
Was dürfen Sie bei uns anliefern?
- Als Privatpersonen dürfen Sie zugleassene nicht verwertbare bzw. nicht vorsortierte Abfälle anliefern. Das sind zum Beispiel Sperrabfälle, Hausmüll, hausmüllähnliche Gewerbeabfälle oder Akten zur Vernichtung. In keinem Fall dürfen Sie keine gefährlichen oder Sonderabfälle (z.B. Farben und Lösemittel) anliefern. Eine Übrsicht über alle zugelassenen und nicht zugelassenen Abfälle finden Sie hier.
Zu welchen Zeiten können Sie an unserem Standort Ihre Lieferung bringen?
- Montag bis Freitag: 07:00 - 18:00 Uhr
Was kostet die Anlieferung?
- Kleinmengen unter 200 kg: pauschal 26,00 Euro.
- Mengen über 200 kg: pro Tonne 230,80 Euro.
Darf bei der TREA Breisgau die Sperrmüllkarte benutzt werden?
- Nein, dafür fahren Sie bitte das "Regionales Abfallzentrum RAZ Breisgau" an.
Das sollten Sie als Privatanlieferer außerdem beachten:
- Die Anlieferung erfolgt auf eigenes Risiko. Für Reifenschäden oder andere
- Tragen Sie zum Eigenschutz bitte festes Schuhwerk.

Wer kann sich für eine Anlagenführung anmelden?
- Bei uns sind alle Interessierten willkommen! Wir freuen uns über Menschen aus der Umgebung, Firmen, Schulklassen und Vereine aller Art. Ihre Besuchergruppe sollte mindestens zehn Personen groß sein.
Wann finden die Führungen statt?
- Festen Daten gibt es nicht. Unsere Führungen finden nach Anfrage statt.
Wie lange dauert eine Fürhung durch die TREA Breisgau?
- Eine Führung dauert ungefähr 1,5 Stunden und besteht aus einer Präsentation und einem Rundgang.
Was kostet eine Führung?
- Die Anlagenführung ist kostenlos.
Was muss ich während der Führung beachten?
- Tragen Sie festes Schuhwerk. Bitte keine Flip-Flops, Sandalen oder Schuhe mit Absätzen.
